Tweenhills chestnuts is a family operated commercial chestnut orchard at Hoskinstown, NSW. John and Heather Kane established Tweenhills Chestnuts in 1997. The orchard comprises 1,200 grafted trees on 10 ha.

Tweenhills is operated using modern horticultural practises with limited use of chemicals. Chestnuts are harvested, washed, cooled, inspected, and graded into sizes on site using state of the art equipment.

We specialise in growing the best roasting chestnuts. Our main variety is an Italian style chestnut, De Coppi Marone.

Only the best chestnuts are packed for sale. We supply chestnuts to the Sydney Wholesale Market, to restaurants in the ACT region and to families.


HAZELNUTS- Our hillside is lined with hazelnut trees too. The nuts are harvested just before chestnut time, and then dried naturally using the power of the sun- the traditional way.

These are available direct from the farm.

The hazelnuts are ungraded and ready to crack open and enjoy. The taste of fresh hazel nuts is amazing! A perfect healthy snack.

APPLES– We also grow a few apples- Jonathon and Golden Delicious- which are used to make apple juice.

The pressing is done at The Old Cheese Factory at Reidsdale, producing a juice that is unfiltered, absolutely delicious and very satisfying.

Each bottle contains 100% apple juice.

The juice may be purchased direct from the farm or from our red chestnut roasting van at the Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets.
